Lots has been going on for us here in CA. I haven't had the time I would like to blog more, but that is life. Work has been very busy with some big deadlines and they are coming to a close. Megan and I have finally had some time to explore CA a little more. We were in Lodi, CA over valentines weekend. We decided to go last minute after our orignal plans of going to Tahoe fell through.
Lodi is an up and coming wine region in CA. They have some really great Zins. I am not really a fan of Zins but we found some this weekend that were really tasty. I think our favorite winery of the weekend was m2, there 2007 Zin is going to be really great, we did a barrel tasting of it. I am really sorry we forgot the camera, the area is really beautiful. It is very flat compared to the Bay Area, which is really hilly. There are a lot of farms in Lodi, more than just vineyards. The tastings are free on the weekends, since most wineries are only open on the weekends. We were actually attending the Lodi Wine and Chocolate festival. I don't think this place is a good as Napa, but still fun to visit.
The food blog is still coming, I have been collecting some recepies and food ideas to talk about. The first article will probably be on a restaruant were visiting this weekend called Ad Hoc, which is owned by famed chef Thomas Keller of French Laundry fame. So keep a look out for this.
Church has been on my mind quite a bit this week, I came across a really halirous blog about Emergent church movement. Whether you agree with this or not, I still found this rather funny.

Lake Berryessa
So its been a while and I am not one of those people apologizing for not blogging. I have other things that I have been doing, spending time writing about it has not been a priority. I would guess most people don't even read this site or check it much.
Megs and I have been trying to get out more since the weather is not raining recently. We were up at Lake Berryessa which is right near Napa. The lake looks like what the Grand Canyon must have looked like before it got so deep. The sad thing is we have not had much in terms of rain in the last couple weeks. We need it quite badly here. It could mean water shortages and crops(all the wineries and other farms in Napa) will be affected.
I also plan on starting a food blog as well, so keep an eye open for more info on that in the future.

I have moved and I am alive
So as many of you know I moved to Vallejo, CA. Most notable for the Zodiac Killer. I live very close to the Sacramento river. Here is a picture from around the corner from my house.

Here is a tour of my place, will start at the entrace to my place:

Enter the front door:

Look into the living room area to the right:

Look to the left and see the kitchen:

Walk down the hall to the right and see the spare bedroom:

Keep walking straight ahead into the master bedroom:

This is my new little pad, right on the river. Very quiet and very beautiful. I have not been out on my motorcycle much, things have been kind of busy. Here is a pictures from one of the last good rides I had with my sis in MN before I left:

One of the things that I have been busy doing was helping Megs find a new car:

I hope to post some pics of some of our exploring adventures around San Francisco. So more to come.

Simply Christian
So one of my favorite theologians, N.T. Wright recently released a book(like C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity) called Simply Chritian. I found a talk he gave on the book at Georgetown University. It was very well done, I am big fan of the perspective he gives on chritianity in the book.

SD800 deal
So I recently purchased a Canon SD800IS(which I think all my friends have done), I then sold it to my dad before I left Uganda. Which I was really bummed about, because it truly is a great camera. I found a great deal at Newegg with a $15 rebate and 2GB free memory stick. I used my camera throughout my trip in Uganda, it worked great, has some really cool features. Check it out.
