Zimbabwe
As many of you know I grew up in Zimbabwe and it is very close to my heart. It hurts me more and more to hear of the political situation gong on right now there. I don't know all of how this organization helps out African countries, but now I have some serious doubts. I heard Mr. Desmond Orjiako speak this morning on the BBC on my way in to work and just about died when I heard this statement "If the government that they elected say they are restoring order by their actions, I don't think it would be proper for us to go interfering in their internal legislation". Something needs to be done Mr. Orjiako. I have friends in Zim as well as I have heard accounts of happenings in Zim and they are not good. This makes me very angry and makes me question the AU usefulness. You can read his statements and more here.
