Halloween, Alaska
So I think I finally figured out why Kruck was upset at Halloween, Alaska. So the story goes that they signed a contract with a new record company. They had a new CD coming out, as I mentioned before, and that was supposed to happen last night. Well it turns out that because they signed this new contract they are re-releasing there first CD and the new CD won't be out till Fall sometime of this year. So the concert that I went to last night, which was very good I might add, which was supposed to be a CD release party and the grand opening of the Varsity turned out to be just a concert at the Loring Pasta Bar. So they now have two(me and schdav) more people upset at their whole record thing. But on the upside I did hear some of their new stuff which I liked. Also heard another group that wasn't bad either Wisper in the Noise, I guess they have been around for a while. Also heard some body else called FoodTeam, not a fan at all. I guess the best way to describe their sound was art of dissonance. All in all a good night!!

Windows x64
So I built my first 64 bit computer today from scratch for work. It was fun and not to hard. I then started my install of Windows XP Pro x64. It was cool and all until I had to install SATA drivers for the SATA controller. So I downloaded the drivers put them on a CD, windows asks for them and expects to find them on the A: drive not on the CD that I created. Why when most of the rest of the world is moving away from floppy disk drives does Windows still require them? This seems antiquated and behind the times. Chock one up again for M$,you guys rule!!!

Halloween, Alaska
Is playing this Friday. They will be releasing a new cd this month so I look forward to hearing some of their new stuff. If there new stuff is anything like their old stuff, this should be an awesome cd.
More Mesh networking stuff in MN
I completely forgot about this in Chaska, very cool. If I can get my hands on an RF spectrum analyzer I should head down there sometime and check this out. Now if only I could find an RF analyzer....
Mesh networking(802.11s)
So this is very interesting stuff. This adds some very cool things to wireless. The ability to extend the network with out need for special equipment. It also adds QOS ability which will help during the use of things like VOIP, plus QOS stuff is just cool!!! But there is one thing that seems to ring with this for me and that is there may be potential for man in the midde attacks if not done correctly. They also mention stuff about auto path routing, this could be very cool, but hopefully someone thinks about DOS attacks with this stuff. But then again, I don't know much about 802.11s, plus there are not standards yet, all personal musings.
My Uncle
As many of you at Bethel may have heard today my Uncle Art Lewis passed away this morning. He had amazing life and was an amazing man of God. He was a B-17 nose gunner/bombadier who completed 35 out of 36 missions. After that he was a missionary to Protugal for a number of years before he became a theology prof at Bethel College. He will be missed greatly by his wife and family. Gods blessings Uncle....

2006 RS4
Those of you that don't know I am an Audi fan, especially the S4 and RS4. Well the new RS4 has been released. Based on the new body style of the A4. I am still struggling a bit with the front end, though it looks better in person, better than the BMW Bengal design though ;). Anyways GFC has a good article about it.
So its been a while....
since I actually posted anything on my blog. Life has been busy what can I say. Hopefully I can keep up with adding things and updating the site over the next couple weeks. I will be posting lots of random thoughts I am having on wireless stuff that I have been reading as well over the next couple days. Will see who will actually read my site since its been untouched for so long ;).
